The norse is great for throwing, I have thrown it over 200 times. People say that the head comes loose but it is supposed to slide down the handle, it WILL NOT COME OFF THE TOP so you can throw it loose or tight. There is a throw called the backwards throw where the axe is thrown backwards and it sticks up-side-down then the handle slides out and falls to the ground, so you can throw your next axe with out hitting your handle and splitting it. People also say that the blade was dull but throwing axes are not supposed to be razor sharp because you will easily nick the bevel. I have just bought another norse hawk so I can throw 2 at one time and be a viking.

I bought 2 different types of cold steel "tomahawks" and both are garbage! This was actually the better of the two. That is the only reason I give it 2 stars instead of one. Blades are made in Taiwan, never seen a worst finish on any blade in my life. Cant be thrown and is VERY dull. Fat chance on even sharpening it. Also comes with a stupid sticker on the blade, if you remove it leaves a residue from the sticker. Its glue, that permanently stains the blade. I have tried everything from rubbing Alcohol and Sanitizer Wipes to knives and finger nails. NOT REMOVABLE! I called Cold Steel and they covered the tab, and let me keep the items. Which are worthless anyways! I am sure cold steel has good products, just that I have never seen one nor will I buy anything branded by them again! Check out this youtube vid, it may help you!
